Oh! Orgasmic Pinot Blanc
It's AWESOME. What else do you need to know? A white that can hold its own with the big boys.
Tasting Notes: Early season citrus on the nose followed by hints of lime and crisp stone fruit on the palate. Hints of fall fruits, toasted caramel and pecans.
Food Pairings: Light fare e.g. dungeness crab and good friends.
The bottle design was simple and approachable. It has the playful characteristics of Naked Winery but in a more subtle way.
I opened the bottle and poured some into my glass. It was a nice light golden color but was a little bit deeper in color than I was expecting. After having my first sip, the color made sense; this is a full Pinot Blanc! There are multiple layers of taste and aroma. Some of my favorites being honey, melon and perhaps white tea. There is a pop of acidity that makes this exceptionally interesting, but not overwhelming.
This is a solid white wine that can really stand up to meals. I'd gladly drink it at Thanksgiving where it would be one heck of a crowd pleaser.
