2017 Oh! Cabernet Sauvignon Double Gold
2019 San Francisco International Wine Competition

Not to brag, but Naked is kind of a big deal. Turns out, we make some damn fine wine right here in Hood River, OR. We make the kind of wine that competes against fancy pants Napa Valley Cab at the San Francisco International Wine competition, wins double gold, and gets a nearly perfect 97 point score! Don’t worry, we won’t let all that snobby wine stuff go to our heads... but we are extremely proud. This gold medal-winning cabernet is available while it lasts online HERE and in our tasting rooms. Stop by to raise a glass of gold!

Get Uncorked Weekend

Get Uncorked with us on Saturday, March 7th & Sunday, March 8th as we serve up our newest club wine along with delicious treats! Stop into any of our tasting room locations (Bend, Seaside, and Hood River) to pick-up your March Quarterly Wines and enjoy your membership wine flight featuring our newest exclusive Club Naked Wine, 2017 Simple Pleasures Cabernet Sauvignon. Learn more HERE.

We also invite you to join us on Friday, March 6th for great music in all of our tasting rooms as we kick off Get Uncorked Weekend! All ages are welcome in our tasting rooms!

Galentine's Day

What’s Galentine’s Day you ask?! Oh, it’s only the best day of the year! But for reals. It started as a fictional celebration of Leslie Knope and her lady-friends on NBC’s Parks and Recreation in the mid-2000s. However, in the last 10 years, it has exploded in popularity as a way to celebrate that most common and yet most unremarked-upon of things: female friendship.

Leslie knope toasting a group of girlfriends

Turns out, people aren’t really that in love with Valentine’s Day anymore. More and more it is being viewed as just another Hallmark holiday. One that only serves to make single people feel bad for no reason and puts undue pressure on people in relationships. So maybe you are single this year. So what! Chances are, even if you don’t have a significant other, you probably do have a best friend, and if so she is definitely worth celebrating.

The profile of cupid with an x through it

Galentine’s Day has become a holiday that really connects with women in the current #metoo era we find ourselves in. And this made for TV holiday is absolutely trending IRL. In 2007 about 63% of Americans planned to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Compare that to 2018 when that number dropped to just 51%. This decline in popularity has been attributed to younger consumers associating Valentine’s with their parents. In other words, it’s lame. Whereas Galentine’s Day is projected to grow by 20% in the next three years. Now that’s some serious girl power! #yasqueen

So, mark your calendars ladies! Naked Winery will be hosting a Galentine’s Day pop-up shopping event in our Hood River tasting room on Saturday, February 8th. Just ladies celebrating ladies, Naked style! Stop in anytime between 4 and 7 PM to sip n’ shop for your besties with breasties. Keep it less commercial and browse gifts from local vendors including Whimsy ChocolatesLucky LocksCroze Creations, Sally & SageColumbia Gorge ConfectionsHackle and HideQueen of Hearts Hemp Foods, and Morganic Handmade who will all be on-site with beautiful, delicious, and sparkly presents specifically for the gals in your life.

When: Saturday, Feb-8 | 4-7 pm
Where: Naked Winery Hood River Tasting Room | 606 Oak Street

However you celebrate the real loves of your life, enjoy a holiday that’s less hallmark and more unconditional love… and wine. Don’t forget the wine.

Pour 'n Play: 90's Throwback Tracks

Ever wonder what we’ve been humming around here at Naked HQ? We're gearing up for our 90's Throwback Party at the Seaside, OR Tasting Room on Feb-22 (more info HERE), so we're sharing our curated playlist. These jams are awesome and may invoke dancing ⚠️ you've been warned. Although we do ask that you refrain from the Macarena and the Tootsie Roll.

To loosely and not at all accurately quote a classic '90s jam, "Ain't no party like a '90s party, 'cause a '90s party don't stop." Am I right, or am I right? If you're planning to attend a 90’s themed party we advise that you consider sporting some like baggy jeans, flannel shirts and complementing combat boots. Yep, we’re feeling it.

Did we strike up some nostalgic feelings? Want more from our team? Follow Naked Winery on Spotify and stay tuned to the Naked Blog for more pour 'n play themes.

🥂 Cheers,

Sneak Peek at New Space in Hood River

If you’ve driven down Oak Street in Hood River the past few weeks you might have noticed some work on the building that Brian's Pourhouse once occupied. Well guess what?! It’s our new Hood River Tasting Room! We took a crew on a tour a few days ago to show us the layout. Check it out.

This new location will give us a lot more space dedicated to serving you amazing Naked Wines. That includes outdoor seating with views of the Columbia River Gorge. There is also a lower level and patio that will be perfect for events! Besides all that good stuff, we’re also going to have a kitchen dedicated to creating amazing desserts. Yeah that’s right, pretty soon you’ll be able to come down to 606 Oak St, Hood River, OR and enjoy your favorite Naked Winery wines alongside some of the best desserts in town! There will be more seating, lots of parking, and we’ll be doing some fun events in the new space.

Watch the clip below! Our very own Becky Williams (Naked Winery Marketing Manager) shared the news of our new Hood River, OR and Vancouver, WA locations with Molly from KPTV's MORE Good Day Oregon. 👇

Now that we’ve got you all excited, you’re probably wondering when all this is going to be done, huh? Looks like Saturday, August 31, 2019 is go-time! We'll also have live music that Saturday (8/31) from Jon Durkan (Pavement Ends Band) from 6-9pm. In the meantime, please visit us at our tasting room located at 102 2nd Street in Hood River which will remain open until Friday, August 30th.

We'd also love you to join us as we gather with our neighbors for a ribbon-cutting and open house on Thursday, Sept-12 from 5-7pm! This event is a great opportunity to invite friends to visit the space we call home and connect with us over a glass of wine -- hope you can join us! Eat, Stay & Explore with Naked Winery

Naked Winery has four awesome locations, and each tasting room town has its own style and local amenities to offer! Explore them all for a wine-centric summer road trip through Oregon. Here are our recommendations on where to eat, stay, and explore in Hood River, McMinnville, Seaside, and Bend.

Located in the sunny, breezy Columbia Gorge, Hood River has ample play for the outdoor enthusiast and shopper alike. Explore the Columbia River from the shore or on paddle, hike Mount Hood, and, of course, drink awesome wine! Starting at our Naked Winery tasting room on 2nd street will put you in the perfect downtown area to explore Hood River’s unique shops and eateries listed below.

Choose from a variety of B & B’s, hotels, vacation rentals, or go glamping! The Columbia Cliff Villas will provide stunning views from the Cliffs, while the pet-friendly Hood River Hotel will provide a touch of vintage and a great downtown walking stay. If camping is your thing, check out these local campgrounds.

After wine tasting and playing around Hood River, grab a slice of pizza at Andrew's Pizza or find classic burger fare at Full Sail Brewing Company. Broder Øst has unique Scandinavian breakfast options, while Three Rivers Grill offers delicious Northwest cuisine with spectacular views of the Columbia River, these are only a few of Hood River’s dining options!

Pick berries, rock climb, shop, hike, or play on the water! Hood River’s frequent winds make this town a hotspot for sailing, kiteboarding, or windsurfing. Travel a bit out of town to paddleboard on the Instagram-perfect Lost Lake. Go mountain biking or explore the Historic Columbia River Highway State Trail. You can also plan your trip around major events, like the Roy Webster Cross-Channel Swim or Hood River Hops Fest. If you’re traveling with kids, check out this list of top family activities in Hood River.

McMinnville is in the heart of the Willamette Valley—in other words, big-time wine country! You’ll discover a historic vibe when you stay in this small town and will have your pick of farm-to-table dining options. Cycle through the vineyards, visit chic boutiques, or unwind with a forest bath (yes, it’s a thing).

While Air B-n-B options in this town abound, we’d recommend a stay at the historic McMenamins Hotel Oregon. Built in 1905, this beautiful hotel makes for easy walking to the McMinnville Naked tasting room and a host of other activities, as it’s located on the popular 3rd Street of historic downtown. Hotel Oregon is also across the street from Serendipity Ice Cream. (Ice cream and wine, anyone?)

As you may well know, it’s important to eat on any wine trip! Pura Vida Cocina has modern Latin cuisine, like salmon ceviche, while Thistle has top-quality seasonal menus. Check out the locally-sourced Crescent café for breakfast, and the 411 Eatery and Lounge for fresh fare at lunch or dinner time (p.s. they also deliver right to our tasting room). Pizza Capo is the place to go for a pizza pie.

Catch 3rd Friday on 3rd Street, a celebration every third Friday of the month on the street where our Naked Winery tasting room is located. Look to see if there’s a special event while you’re in town, like the International Pinot Noir Celebration, Wildwood MusicFest, or the 15th Annual Willamette Valley Lavender Festival. Go for a bike ride on the McMinnville wine loop, or one of those forest baths we mentioned. Grab the family and spend the day at the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum, home of the Hughes Spruce Goose and Wings & Waves Indoor Waterpark. Have a picnic at Ed Grenfell Park along Baker Creek, check out an art gallery, or, if you’re traveling with kids, spend some time at the McMinnville Aquatic Center. There’s an adventure for every type in McMinnville.

This playful town along the North Coast of Oregon has long been popular as a relaxed beachside getaway. Walk, bike, or kayak around to get a feel for this unique place and all it has to offer. Taste your favorite Naked wines in our tasting room and then catch the sunset from the sand.

If you’re looking for a romantic stay or ultimate girls’ retreat, book your room at the historic (adults-only) Gilbert Inn Hotel. WorldMark Seaside by Wyndham Resort is a great place to stay with quick beach access. You can also camp at Fort Stevens State Park.

Start your day with a hearty brunch at the Firehouse Grill. After wine tasting and walking on the beach, try the homemade dessert at Nonni’s Italian Bistro. Grab casual fish & ships at Bell Buoy Seaside, or eat dinner at Thai Me Up, where “love is the main ingredient.”

Bike along the beachside Promenade or try your hand at clam digging. If it’s the right time of year, you can spy gray whales migrating along the coast. There’s even surfing, with rentals available from local surf shops. Golf at one of several courses, go birding along the grassy dunes, or browse three distinct (tax-free!) shopping districts with goods ranging from antiques to artisan smoked salmon. Other attractions include the Seaside Aquarium and historic Lewis & Clark Salt Works. The Funland Arcade and Captain Kid Amusement Park are must-stops for kids. Here’s a full list of local events.

Bend is a small, high-desert town along the Deschutes River in eastern Oregon that’s garnered attention as the “outdoor playground of the west.” After visiting our playful Naked Winery tasting room in the Old Mill District, explore all that Bend has to offer!

With river and mountain views and close access to the Old Mill District, My Place Hotel is a great place to bring your family and pets. Riverhouse on the Deschutes will put you in the heart of downtown Bend. Whatever type of place you’d like to stay, it’s likely Bend has it, from boutique hotels to luxury camper van rentals.

The food scene in Bend is as varied as the ways to play around town. Start with breakfast at The Lemon Tree, get authentic Cuban fare for lunch at Cuban Kitchen, visit Bangers & Brews for gourmet sausages with an Argentinian Flair, or hit up Boxwood Kitchen in the Old Mill District for a modern take on the classic supper club experience (see photo🤤).

You can’t go wrong spending a day in the Old Mill District of Bend, with an outdoor concert venue, tasting rooms, and delightful pick of restaurants. Schedule your trip to line up with an event like Bend Brewfest or Art in the High Desert. Bend is a huge outdoor recreation play area, so you can also catch a tour for whitewater rafting or book a local outdoor guide to hit the lakes, trails, and rivers.

Visit the High Desert Museum, hike at the Mt. Bachelor Ski Area or Deschutes National Forest, or take a horseback ride into the Oregon Badlands Wilderness Trail. Don’t just take our word for how awesome Bend is—check out these crowd-sourced “love” lists with top things to do rated by visitors and locals alike.

We hope you have FUN exploring all of our Naked locations with your friends and loved ones this summer!
