Have you been to a ton of bachelorette parties that all seemed the same? Strippers, nightclubs, limousines… blah, blah, blah. So, if you are planning a bachelorette party for yourself or a girl friend, and don’t want the same old thing what should you do? Well, we at Naked Winery have done our homework and we’ve turned to the folks at Scarlet Girl for the answers.

So, if you are planning a bachelorette party for yourself or a girl friend, and don’t want the same old thing what should you do? Well, we at Naked Winery have done our homework and we’ve turned to the folks at Scarlet Girl for the answers. Read on!

Here are some ideas for a girls night everyone can enjoy – and one that will stand out from all the others you’ve been too!

Get Some Class – There are a lot of options for group activities, and taking a class together is one of them. You can spend an afternoon (or evening) becoming an expert on anything from painting pottery to pole dancing. Seriously! If you are looking for something new, why not poll your friends for their ideas on activities everyone would enjoy? We’ve run into bachelorette parties while rock climbing, in knitting school, and even at a wine tasting class. Pick an activity the bride enjoys and everyone can try, and let the girl power bonding begin!

If you are out of ideas pick up one of the free activities papers that many cities put out. These are full of event listings, as well as ads for many fun locations with group activities. San Francisco, CA has the SF Weekly; San Jose and the South Bay Area, CA have The Wave; Portland, OR has Willamette Weekly; St. Louis, MO has River Front Times; New York City has New York Press, Atlanta, GA has the Atlanta Press and Creative Loafing – you get the picture.

Craft Time Down Home – One of the cleverest solutions we have ever seen to the wedding-favor dilemma involved the whole wedding party. During this bachelorette party the bride organized her brides maids into an efficient production line, who then created hand-decorated wine glasses etched with the name of the bride and groom, and the wedding date. It would have made Henry Ford proud! A variety of yummy snacks, and some mixed drinks to test out the newly decorated glasses, and some bangin’ party tunes completed the festive atmosphere. The bridal party had a great time together, the bride got her favors, and everyone got a memory that will stand out from other bachelorette bashes. The helpful employees at Michael’s, or other craft store, can point you toward the best supplies for this project. If you are seriously craft challenged, ask what it would take to arrange for the party to take place at the store under the guidance of a more experienced teacher.

Perfect Pampering – This idea works especially well for bridal parties who gather from far and wide to attend the bachelorette party and wedding. Set aside an evening or afternoon just before the wedding, and arrange some soothing at-home spa time. Many upscale spas will do outcall for manicures, pedicures, and massage if you call well ahead of time and guarantee a minimum number of clients. Check your yellow pages or call the local Chamber of Commerce for referrals of outcall massage and beauty services if you don’t already have a salon in mind. While the some bachelorette party guests are being pampered the rest can chat, eat, and relax comfortably – all while everyone gets the pre-ceremony beauty treatment you needed to schedule anyway!

Pleasure Party Down – Get the bride everything she’ll want for the wedding night, and all the nights after. And get it without having to venture out to an adult bookstore!
You can arrange for a pleasure party consultant come to the bridal party with a display of adult lotions, potions, toys and lubricants available for sale. The display items are there for the guests to see up close, touch, and ask questions about. Aside from being a very memorable bachelorette party, this is the ultimate girl’s night. The bridal party will giggle, scream, have a good time, and learn a lot of very cool information. Contact a pleasure party company to find out if there is a consultant available in your area, and all the sensual products you have ever had questions about (but were afraid to ask) will come to you!

Whatever you decide to do, keep in mind that it’s all about the bride – but the bridal party deserves some fun too!
